Counselling and Therapy for adults.

Taking the step to seek counselling can be a daunting process. If you are feeling anxious, depressed, are struggling in a relationship or are stuck and unable to move forward, talking to a Counsellor can support you to explore what might be holding you back from change. Deeply held beliefs, which may be hidden from our awareness, can determine how we behave and make decisions. Uncovering these beliefs, and where they come from, requires a safe, confidential and trusting relationship. It is important that you find the right person to do this with - the "fit" of the counsellor/client relationship is strongly connected to the success of the counselling. 

Please feel free to call me to discuss what you are looking for and arrange a reduced cost initial session in which you will be able to share your concerns and hear how I work. If we both feel comfortable that I am the right person for you, we will arrange further sessions. If not, I will endeavour to refer on to other sources of support. 

I work in a quiet, safe, private room in my home with easy access by train and free parking in the afternoons. I will support you to explore whatever is troubling you at your own pace. You are the real expert on your life and situation; I will be there to help you express and explore thoughts, memories or experiences and together we will decide how best to work together so that you can make the changes you desire.

I can offer a short number of targeted sessions or longer term supported exploration depending on what feels right for you. I have experience of working with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, fears or phobias, low self-esteem, body shape and eating disorders.
